New factory in Ritto, Japan

To improve production capacity and reinforce design and development of new machine tools, MHI has completed construction on a new $30 million production plant in Ritto, Japan.

This new 108,000 sq ft air-conditioned facility will utilize the latest production technology and precision machines to effeciently produce Mitsubishi’s machining center and large machine product line, previously being built at MHI’s Hiroshima plant.

This centralized location will help improve logistics, transportation and procurement of resources. In addition, consolidation of design and development forces that existed at both the Hiroshima and Ritto plants will accelerate Mitsubishi’s development and production of new machine tools.
